Job Summary: This position performs the more complex and difficult analytical and project management tasks for the Cost Tracking and Reporting Unit. Acts as lead in the development and implementation of Cal OES administrative policies, procedures, and programs. Coordinates with all state departments performing activities during disasters for the purposes of cost tracking and reporting, as well as financial reimbursement and reconciliation, in coordination with the SOC, Recovery Directorate, and the Department of Finance. Provides technical assistance, expertise, and trainings to the rest of the team.

The Disaster Financial Recovery & Reconciliation Office is the central coordination hub between state agencies and the Department of Finance to track and monitor disaster costs for state agencies and maximize federal reimbursements and other federal fund opportunities.
In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work in the event of an emergency. This contact may be outside of your normal working hours (evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays). This service may require irregular work hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in your official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites.
