ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: The Farm Store is the heart of campus and the surrounding community providing fresh produce fun Item often referred to as” A Treasure box” by our guest. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Part-Time Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will lead by example, ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting team development.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
- Supervise and support team members during shifts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Maintain store standards for cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Monitor sales performance and help achieve targets
- Ability to adhere to a regular work schedule, to include evenings, weekends and holidays based on location/needs of business.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION: Responsible for the training of staff necessary to carry out effective operations of the area assigned; directly supervises part-time, full-time and student staff based on unit structure. Ensure performance is acceptable and provide feedback for improvement; may assist in supervising the activities of contracted staff providing services that may include custodial, landscaping, trash collection, pest control, repairs and other facility services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2-3 years supervisory or lead experience.
- At least 6 months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating task of two or more employees.
- Servsafe Managers or equivalent certification
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide good customer service and respond positively to complaints.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures to variety of situations.
- Ability to be resourceful and to take initiative.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-ethnic environment.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules; open to new ideas and adaptable to changing technology.
- Strong writing skills.
- Must understand the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization and lead based on those concepts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years of successful supervisory experience in a college or university retail operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Management, Business or related field.
