Salary Schedule 04CD, Range 2, $22.67 to $26.62 per hour. Effective July 1, 2026, salary will be $28.47 - $36.33. This position is exempt from overtime. Annual stipend pay: Master’s $1,200 or Doctorate $2,000 (Prorated upon hire)
Length of Work Year
Full time: 7.5 hours per day/Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm/10 months/186 days annually (Prorated upon hire) Approximately 25 extra duty days throughout the year

Child Development positions will be initially placed according to verified years of experience of like licensed or permitted employment as defined below. • 0 – 5 years, Step A • 6 – 10 years, Step B • 11 years or more, Step C

This position qualifies for CalSTRS retirement. The employee contribution rate for CalSTRS is either 10.25% or 10.205% of monthly earnings depending on the membership date.

The Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) is located in Northern California and serves 13 districts and 17 charter schools in Butte County and provides services to students and educators in all 58 California Counties and employs 1400 people in Butte County and across the state.
