Bullpen is partnered with a highly active real estate investment and asset management platform seeking a Senior Associate, Asset Management to join its growing Austin office.
The firm owns and operates a diversified portfolio across recession-resistant, operationally intensive asset classes and has established a strong reputation for disciplined investing, long-term execution, and entrepreneurial decision-making.
This is a high-exposure opportunity for someone looking to take a true ownership role within a lean investment team. The position offers direct responsibility over asset performance, regular interaction with senior leadership, and broad exposure across acquisitions, operations, capital projects, and portfolio strategy.
Ideal candidates will come from institutional or entrepreneurial owner/operator environments and want to be more hands-on in driving asset-level performance and investment outcomes.
What Youโll Be Doing
- Take ownership of day-to-day asset management responsibilities across a portfolio of real estate investments
- Execute business plans focused on NOI growth, operational efficiencies, and value creation
- Manage third-party property managers, leasing teams, and operating partners
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis
- Oversee capital improvement initiatives, renovations, and repositioning projects
- Analyze asset performance and present recommendations to leadership
- Assist with acquisition underwriting, due diligence, and transition processes
- Support hold/sell analyses, refinancing decisions, and portfolio strategy initiatives
- Work closely with acquisitions, finance, and executive leadership on investment decisions
What Theyโre Looking For
- 4โ7 years of experience in asset management, acquisitions, portfolio management, or related real estate investing roles
- Experience working for an owner/operator, investment firm, REIT, private equity platform, or institutional real estate company
- Strong understanding of property operations, financial analysis, and investment performance metrics
- Ability to manage multiple assets and priorities simultaneously
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
- Experience working directly with property management teams and operating budgets
- Exposure to acquisitions, underwriting, or capital markets processes is highly preferred
- Self-starter mentality with strong communication and problem-solving skills
