VP / Senior Business Development – Commercial Construction
📍 Mid-Atlantic (Philadelphia / NJ / NYC) | Hybrid (1 day/week in Greater Philadelphia, PA)
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established, privately held commercial general contractor with a 36-year track record and a strong reputation across the Mid-Atlantic.
The firm is currently generating ~$25M in annual revenue and is actively looking to scale to $50M–$70M over the next few years. With a lean, experienced team and a diverse project portfolio across retail, industrial, multifamily, and hospitality, the business is positioned for meaningful growth.
This hire will play a critical role in that expansion.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, revenue-driving leadership role focused on business development and growth.
You will work directly with ownership to build pipeline, win new business, and expand key client relationships—with the autonomy to operate as a true entrepreneur within the platform.
This is not an account management role. This is a pure hunter position for someone who knows how to generate and close work.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive new business development efforts across the Mid-Atlantic region
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of commercial construction opportunities
• Leverage existing relationships to originate and close new projects
• Attend industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
• Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, project management) to convert opportunities into executed work
• Help shape and execute overall growth and go-to-market strategy
What We’re Looking For
• 10–15 years of experience in business development within commercial construction
• Proven track record of originating and closing revenue (not just managing relationships)
• Strong existing network of developers, owners, brokers, and/or end users
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously
• High-energy, driven, and team-oriented
Compensation & Upside
• Competitive base salary performance-based bonus
• 1% commission on all revenue generated (uncapped earning potential)

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
