JOB LOCATION: Buffalo Thunder Casino

REPORTS TO:  Player Development Manager

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

FLSA STATUS:  This is a full-time, exempt position

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBD

JOB PURPOSE:   Responsible for generating casino revenue while building loyalty among valued VIP customers and by developing relationships effectively utilizing marketing and upscale sales techniques.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

•      Provides the highest level of customer service to recognize and maintain players at the casino

•      Educates and encourages participation by Casino guests to use player club cards

•      Maintains close ties with guests through personal contact and works directly with other Casino Hosts and the Call Center

•      Ability to qualify guests for room and meal offers based upon play

•      Proactively seeks new members on casino floor and externally in community

•      Uses sound judgment and makes good decisions in accordance with established guidelines

•      Handles difficult guests and situations in a calm, professional, and prudent manner

•      Fully complies with all applicable rules, regulations, laws, and policies

•      Conducts themselves with the highest levels of integrity and honesty

•      Coordinates with Casino Hosts and leads other Representatives to maintain departmental goals

•      Adheres to strict confidentiality in all matters

•      Performs other job duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

•      Must be at least 21 years of age or older

•      Extensive knowledge of casino and gaming commission policies, procedures, and guidelines

•      Knowledge of the casino in general

•      Superior customer service skills

•      Ability to make and apply decisions properly and effectively

•      Demonstrated leadership skills to lead and guide team members

•      Demonstrated excellent communication, team-building, and customer relations skills

•      Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities; Must be people oriented and have a outgoing personality

•      Ability to solve problems requiring judgment, ingenuity, and creativity in order to maintain a high quality of business activity within the casino.

•      Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English; Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

•      Ability to use computer software

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         High school diploma with additional applicable training/education

·         proven track record of personally providing excellent customer service

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·         Demonstrated experience working in teams

·         Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance at all times

·         Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

·         Casino setting; shift work

·         Required to work day, swing, evening, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

·         Some travel required

·         Walking-80%; Sedentary-20%; May walk around for up to 4 hours at a time

·         Must be able to continuously maneuver around casino quickly

·         Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist, and work at a desk

·         Responds to visual and auditory cues

·         Exposure to cigarette smoke and noise

·         Some exposure to VDT’s and CRT’s from computer use
