Job Description

Assists the Director, Environmental Services by supervising the facility’s housekeeping, laundry, and linen service and performing a variety of housekeeping tasks. To maintain a quality standard that will provide a sanitary, orderly, and attractive facility.

Education And Credentials

High School graduate or GED required. Post high school education and/or experience preferred.

Experience

2-3 years of experience in Environmental Services or 1 year of supervisory experience required. Day shift supervisor will be required to have at least 2 years of floor care experience, including but not limited to; stripping, waxing and polishing floors. Requires critical thinking skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, exemplifies excellent decision-making, delegating, and technical writing skills; leadership skills and ability to foster an environment of teamwork, professionalism, and customer satisfaction; takes initiative for problem solving, decision making, and managing employees; working collaboratively with a variety of licensed and non-licensed professionals internal and external to hospital operations, strong written and verbal communication skills, and basic math and computer skills.
