JOB SUMMARY: The custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, surrounding outdoor grounds, and parking lot. Primary duties include cleaning, sanitizing floors, restrooms, and breakrooms. Also collect trash throughout the plant. To be able to solve problems, be self-motivated, to ensure the employees have a clean, and safe workspace.

General Duties/ Responsibilities

· Keep all floors clean by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.

· Service, clean, and restock bathrooms multiple times if needed during shift.

· Gather and empty all trash throughout the plant and deposit it in trash compactor.

· Clean windows, mirrors with appropriate cleaner.

· Dust and clean furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.

· Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as needed.

· Follow all chemical mixing guidelines.

· Notify the Manager of any major repairs to the building or equipment.

· Remove snow from sidewalks and spread salt as needed.

· Be able to unclog drains, and toilets, if not able to get to notify manager.

· Mild landscaping trimming, spray weeds along building, brush removal.

· Painting walls, and equipment for maintenance.

· Mount soap and towel dispensers.

· Other duties as assigned.

Lab Duties/ Responsibilities Daily

· Empty trash/recycling; replace liners.

· Vacuum or dust-mop floors; spot mop spills.

· Wipe desks & horizontal surfaces (avoid moving papers/equipment).

· Disinfect high-touch points: door handles, light switches, keyboards (exterior), chair arms.

· Clean glass on interior doors and partitions (fingerprints/smudges).

· Clean sinks and surrounding countertops only if clear of samples/equipment.

· Refill paper towels and hand soap at lab sinks.

· Damp dust accessible horizontal surfaces (shelf edges, cart handles) only if clear.

· Clean interior/exterior glass on lab doors and windows (do not open instrument enclosures).

· ·Clean doors and walls to remove dust.

· Other duties in lab as assigned

Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent (required)

Physical requirements

· Must be able to reach, stretch, bend, kneel during the day routinely.

· Must be able to stand and walk for long lengths of time.

· Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Schedule:

· Friday-Sunday 6pm-6am

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
