Tool Maker Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and maintain molds with precision
- Utilize advanced CNC machining, EDM, and manual milling techniques
- Employ CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Mastercam
- Select materials and implement heat treatment processes
- Understand injection molding machines and processes
- Use precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and CMM
- Troubleshoot mold defects and implement solutions
- Adhere to safety and quality assurance standards
- Oversee mold maintenance and record-keeping
- Manage budgets and minimize long-term maintenance costs
- Identify improvements in mold design
- Uphold BRC Hygiene Standards and company compliance guidelines
- Engage in the production of rigid plastics for various consumer goods
- Knowledge of surface grinders, drill press, lathes, and cold jets
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with technology and familiarity with Office Suite
- Expertise in injection molding processes
- Open to mature candidates with at least 5 years of runway
- Flexibility in working hours is preferred
