Position Title: Tool Maker

The Tool Maker position is essential for ensuring the precision and quality of injection molding processes. This role demands a high level of expertise in mold design, fabrication, and maintenance, contributing significantly to the production of various consumer goods. Candidates will face challenges that require both technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Tool Maker Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and maintain molds with precision
• Utilize advanced CNC machining, EDM, and manual milling techniques
• Employ CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Mastercam
• Select materials and implement heat treatment processes
• Understand injection molding machines and processes
• Use precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and CMM
• Troubleshoot mold defects and implement solutions
• Adhere to safety and quality assurance standards
• Oversee mold maintenance and record-keeping
• Manage budgets and minimize long-term maintenance costs
• Identify improvements in mold design
• Uphold BRC Hygiene Standards and company compliance guidelines
• Engage in the production of rigid plastics for various consumer goods
  
  

Tool Maker Requirements

• Knowledge of surface grinders, drill press, lathes, and cold jets
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with technology and familiarity with Office Suite
• Expertise in injection molding processes
• Open to mature candidates with at least 5 years of runway
• Flexibility in working hours is preferred
