General Purpose
The Housekeeper is responsible for providing high-quality cleaning services throughout the hospital in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for all.
Essential Functions
The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
Performing routine cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
Using cleaning agents, equipment, and supplies safely and effectively.
Removing trash, replacing liners, and managing waste in accordance with hospital protocols.
Maintaining floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or polishing as needed.
Restocking supplies and reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Following infection control procedures and safety standards at all times.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
Stand, walk, and sit
Use hands and fingers to handle materials and equipment
Reach with hands and arms
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Qualifications
Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
