Full-Time Dietary Aide

Position Summary

Boulder City Hospital is seeking a dedicated and dependable Full-Time Dietary Aide to join our Nutrition Services team. The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation and service of meals for patients, residents, and employees while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring quality food service and excellent patient satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of food for patients, residents, and hospital employees.
• Prepare, assemble, and distribute patient meal trays according to dietary requirements.
• Perform tray line duties and ensure meal accuracy.
• Deliver food carts and meal trays to designated hospital and resident care areas.
• Collect soiled trays and transport them to designated cleaning areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, equipment, and food preparation surfaces.
• Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with stocking supplies and rotating inventory as needed.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure efficient meal service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service, dietary, healthcare, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to:

• Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and manipulate objects.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Talk, hear, taste, and smell.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
