Payroll Specialist - #25997

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist II. This role is responsible for processing payroll, auditing employee payroll data, preparing payroll tax documentation, and analyzing payroll expenses for reporting.

Job Duties

• Review and validate payroll data to support accurate and timely wage payments
• Maintain payroll collection processes across scheduled payroll cycles
• Audit employee records, payroll systems, and timekeeping data for accuracy
• Analyze payroll expenses and workforce data to support management reporting
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries related to wages, deductions, and records
• Prepare payroll tax filings, W-2s, and payroll amendments
• Provide payroll records to internal and external stakeholders as needed
• Support workplace organization standards and payroll-related process improvements

Skills & Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
• 3 years of corporate payroll processing experience
• Corporate payroll operations experience
• Payroll tax filing, W-2, and amendment preparation experience
• Timekeeping and attendance system experience
• Employee payroll record auditing experience
• Microsoft Excel proficiency

Desired

• MBA, MS, or related advanced degree
• SAP payroll, ERP, or HRIS system experience
• Benefits system experience
• Payroll expense and workforce data reporting experience
• Experience supporting internal and external payroll audits
• Manufacturing industry payroll experience
