Become an integral part of a dynamic school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to supporting student success. This full-time contract opportunity spans a flexible school year schedule with 37.5 hours per week serving an elementary caseload in the St. Paul, MN area.
Initially, you’ll provide SLP coverage for Justice Alan Page during a maternity leave, anticipated through Thanksgiving break. Afterwards, your assignment adapts to meet emerging needs across different buildings, stepping in for additional leaves as required. Where leaves are not present, you'll focus on delivering compensatory services to students who may have missed therapy support earlier in the year.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Active Minnesota SLP licensure (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) welcomed
- School-based SLP experience with children in elementary settings is highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP development, service delivery plans, and progress documentation
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing assignments or caseloads
Key responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services according to IEPs and district standards
- Assess, diagnose, and treat student communication disorders
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session outcomes
- Adapt quickly to new settings and varying needs across different school locations
- Deliver compensatory services to address missed therapy sessions as necessary
