Social Worker in Saint Charles, IL

Make a positive impact in the lives of elementary students as a contract School Social Worker in the Sugar Grove area. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting children’s social and emotional well-being within an educational environment. From August 12, 2026, to November 4, 2026 (with potential for extension), you’ll work onsite with a dedicated K-5 caseload in a welcoming and collaborative school setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Previous experience as a school-based social worker required
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Skilled in providing both individual and group counseling
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
• Comfortable collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive interventions

Primary Responsibilities:

• Promote student success by addressing academic, social, and emotional barriers
• Conduct assessments and participate in student support team meetings
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and crisis support when needed
• Document all services provided and maintain compliance with district and state policies
• Serve as a vital resource for families, connecting them with community programs
• Facilitate communication between school, home, and various agencies to ensure student needs are met
