From August 12, 2026, to November 4, 2026 (with potential for extension), you’ll work onsite with a dedicated K-5 caseload in a welcoming and collaborative school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Previous experience as a school-based social worker required
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Skilled in providing both individual and group counseling
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Promote student success by addressing academic, social, and emotional barriers
- Conduct assessments and participate in student support team meetings
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and crisis support when needed
- Document all services provided and maintain compliance with district and state policies
- Serve as a vital resource for families, connecting them with community programs
- Facilitate communication between school, home, and various agencies to ensure student needs are met
