Interviews will be conducted starting August 26, 2026, with a brief pause from August 31 through September 4, and will reopen immediately afterward as the district prepares for the new school year. While specific school locations will be set by October, this role may require travel between campuses depending on testing and student need.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Alabama School Psychologist license (must be current and in good standing)
- Previous experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Comfortable evaluating and supporting diverse student needs across multiple sites
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation with school staff and families
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and school assignments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students in need of testing services, spanning K through 12th grade
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement educational and behavioral interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records for all assigned cases
- Support school-wide initiatives promoting student mental health and academic achievement
