You’ll primarily be working onsite with students in Emporia and could have assignments in nearby districts, all conveniently located within a 20-minute drive.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Current and valid Kansas Psychologist License is required
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites as needed
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive educational environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning of students
- Develop and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) as a key member of the multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to craft effective interventions and supports
- Participate in RTI/MTSS processes and contribute expertise to team meetings
- Travel to assigned districts within short driving distance as needed
