Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ academic and emotional success through comprehensive psychological services in a welcoming K-12 environment. This contract school psychologist opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Most of your days will be spent in Emporia, KS, with the potential to provide support to nearby districts—all within a short drive.

Qualifications

• Valid Kansas School Psychologist license
• Previous experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
• Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Organized, self-motivated, and flexible in adapting to various school environments
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results for K-12 students
• Provide individual and group counseling as needed, supporting student mental health and well-being
• Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective interventions and instructional strategies
• Assist with the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver crisis intervention and contribute to threat/risk assessments as required
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Travel occasionally to assigned schools within a 20-minute radius of Emporia
