Make a difference for high school students with intensive behavioral needs as a contract paraprofessional. This is an opportunity to work hands-on in a supportive, highly structured environment with a team committed to helping every learner succeed. The assignment runs from August 2026 through June 2027 (dates tentative), with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM. The first week includes a required full-time orientation. All state-mandated clearances must be complete before August 13.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school special education classroom (PreK–12) supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges
- Must reside within 35 minutes of the worksite and be available for the full schedule
- Ready to attend a mandatory orientation week; no exceptions
- Must meet at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification before starting (see details below), or be willing to obtain credential within 60 days of starting
- Comfortable with hands-on support, including toileting, feeding, transfers, and assisting students with moderate to severe needs in a behavioral setting
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and ability to work with students exhibiting aggressive, self-injurious behaviors, and intensive safety needs
- Own reliable transportation
