Position Overview

The Creative Marketing Strategist plays a critical role in developing and executing high-impact marketing initiatives across all Black Diamond service lines. This position blends creative direction, content strategy, and campaign execution, ensuring all marketing efforts are aligned with brand standards, business goals, and seasonal demand.

This individual will work closely with the CMO and cross-functional teams to bring campaigns to life through compelling storytelling, strategic messaging, and visually engaging content.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Development

  • Research, write, and develop content across multiple channels including social media, blogs, email campaigns, website, billboards, and marketing collateral
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute company blog content aligned with SEO strategy
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, and audience targeting across all service lines (Pest, Turf, HVAC, Wildlife)
  • Develop compelling, conversion-focused messaging tailored to each stage of the customer journey

Creative Direction & Production

  • Conceptualize and design seasonal billboard campaigns (minimum 6 annually for HQ market)
  • Create storyboards, shot lists, and creative direction for video and photo content
  • Film and edit video content for social media, digital campaigns, and website use
  • Partner with Marketing Specialists to execute creative assets efficiently and at scale
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual and written content

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Work alongside the CMO to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
  • Assist in planning and coordinating social media calendars across all locations (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Align creative strategy with seasonal service offerings and campaign flight schedules
  • Support promotional initiatives, launches, and cross-service campaigns

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with departments including HR, Training, Operations, and Business Development to support internal and external marketing needs
  • Translate business objectives into effective marketing campaigns and creative deliverables
  • Act as a creative resource across the organization

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Use analytics and reporting tools to evaluate content effectiveness and optimize future strategies
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing opportunities

Event & Field Marketing Support

  • Assist with planning and execution of promotional events, community outreach, and local marketing initiatives.
  • Represent the company at events when needed and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels (paid ads, email, SEO).
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform insights, Looker Studio is a plus).
  • Comfort using scheduling and project management tools.
  • Experience filming and editing videos.

Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or creative strategy
  • Proven experience in content creation, copywriting, and campaign development
  • Experience in

  • Previous experience in account management or leading marketing initiatives preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong creative thinker with the ability to translate strategy into compelling content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of SEO/SEM and content optimization best practices
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.)
  • Experience with video production, editing, and storytelling
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and personable, with the ability to work across teams

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field preferred

Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
