This position is for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving elementary school students from PreK through 5th grade in the Baltimore area, MD. The role requires providing speech therapy services on-site across two schools: Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week: Monday, Wednesday). This contract position runs from February 16, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with the possibility to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) services during July 2026.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students, ideally PreK through 5th grade
- Ability to complete a school district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review as required by House Bill 486
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with school staff, students, and families
- Flexibility to work part-time across two school sites within the Baltimore region
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and related reports
- Collaborate with educational teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and student goals
- Participate in any pre-employment interviews and credentialing processes as required
Work Schedule and Location:
- 37.5 hours per week divided between two schools located in Joppatowne and Bel Air, MD
- On-site presence required at both Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary
