A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for a contract position serving elementary school students in the Baltimore, MD area. This role requires providing speech-language support to PreK through 5th-grade students across two schools, ensuring students receive tailored assistance to improve their communication skills.

Assignment Details

• Location: Baltimore area, MD
• Schools: Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week: Monday, Wednesday)
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
• Contract Duration: February 16, 2026 May 29, 2026, with a potential extension into Extended School Year services in July 2026
• Student Age Group: PreK to 5th Grade
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
• Compliance with House Bill 486, including district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
• Ability to manage caseload across multiple school locations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver speech-language pathology services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Document progress and collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support student development
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies and procedures
• Participate in necessary training and credentialing requirements
