These contract positions serve diverse school communities during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, offering meaningful work with students requiring individualized assistance and ABA interventions.
Positions are located in multiple schools within Bucks County, including Fallsington Elementary, Samuel Everitt School, and Pearl Buck Elementary. While placement considers proximity to your residence, assignments depend on student needs and enrollment. Paraprofessionals work Monday through Thursday, from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM during the ESY instructional period (June 29 to July 30, 2026), with orientation held June 2425.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct support to students exhibiting moderate to severe behavioral challenges
- Assisting with ABA interventions and behavior management strategies
- Supporting students with toileting, lifting, and managing challenging behaviors such as hitting, spitting, or eloping
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to meet student needs within the classroom
- Maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
Qualifications and experience requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year as a paraprofessional supporting students with behavioral or autism-related needs, including ABA experience
- Must reside within 35 minutes of assigned school site and have dependable transportation
- Ability to commit to the full ESY schedule, including orientation and instructional dates
- Meet at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification: 48 college credits, OR Associate degree or higher, OR Credential of Competency or CDA
- If not currently credentialed, willingness to complete a 7-module certification process and submit application within 60 days of hire
