This full-time Special Education Teacher position is based in Cambridge, MA, serving 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays and intellectual impairments. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the 2025-2026 school year, concluding on or before June 30th. The role is onsite, with hours from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, providing direct support within a contract setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to developmental delays and intellectual impairments.
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student growth and behavior according to school protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts teaching license or certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities.
- Proven experience working in a school environment with special education students.
- Ability to manage a caseload primarily consisting of 2nd and 3rd graders with developmental challenges.
- Completion of CORI background check and fingerprinting is mandatory; a letter of suitability from a previous employer may be accepted for fingerprint clearance.
- Comfortable participating in an initial Zoom interview.
