Special Ed Teacher - Cambridge, Massachusetts

This opportunity is for an experienced Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support to students with moderate to severe disabilities in a K-12 school setting. The position involves working with a small group of 3-7 students who have high behavioral needs, ensuring their educational and developmental goals are met throughout the school year. The role offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with a standard 40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Provide instruction and behavioral support to moderate to severe special education students across grades K-12.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals (paras) who will assist in the classroom to deliver effective educational strategies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to maximize learning outcomes.
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student progress and needs.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement.
