Step into a valuable role supporting students’ well-being during Extended School Year (ESY) programming. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to provide onsite services for a short-term contract assignment running from mid-June through mid-July. This opportunity covers two locations, providing support to a caseload of 12 students, ensuring their social and emotional needs are met throughout the ESY session.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid PA School Social Worker Certificate required
- Experience in a school-based or educational setting preferred
- Ability to support students with diverse backgrounds and needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Organized, adaptable, and able to multi-task across multiple sites if needed
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work services and support to a caseload of 12 students at onsite locations
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to assess and address student needs
- Participate in inservice training on Thursday, June 18, 2026
- Support an inclusive, safe environment on all scheduled school days (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–12 PM)
- Maintain documentation and communication as required by school and district policies
- Foster a positive rapport with students to enhance engagement and overall well-being
