Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated School Physical Therapist in the Corona area. This itinerant position provides valuable services to a variety of sites throughout the region, focused on Extended School Year (ESY) needs and ensuring student progress across multiple campuses.
You’ll have the important role of identifying caseloads for the summer session, managing make-up minutes from prior school years, and potentially supervising a Physical Therapist Assistant. Your flexibility and adaptability are essential as you travel between schools to deliver high-quality, specialized care.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current California Physical Therapist licensure
- Previous experience working in California schools is required
- Flexibility to travel between multiple sites within the district
- Strong organizational skills to manage varied caseloads and make-up therapy minutes
- Ability to supervise a PTA if needed
- Bilingual Spanish language skills are preferred and valued
- Familiarity with ESY programming is a plus
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide school-based physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs during ESY
- Travel between schools to meet with students as scheduled
- Assess and identify therapy needs and create treatment plans
- Maintain documentation and ensure all therapy minutes, including make-up minutes, are accurately tracked and reported
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and district partners
- Supervise and mentor a PTA (if assigned)
