Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as part of a dedicated Early Interventionist Team! This position focuses on delivering onsite Occupational Therapy services to children aged 3-4, playing a vital role in their early developmental success. Working around 4 hours each day, 4 days a week, you'll have the unique experience of traveling between northern and southern locations, offering your expertise where it's needed most throughout the school year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and valid OT or COTA license in Louisiana
- Previous experience in school settings or early childhood therapy strongly preferred
- Familiarity with providing services within IEP/IFSP frameworks
- Strong collaborative skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to supporting young children’s growth
- For COTA applicants, supervision will be provided
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to preschoolers ages 3-4, encouraging developmental gains
- Assess, plan, and implement treatment plans personalized to each child’s needs
- Maintain communication with teachers, families, and educational staff to monitor progress
- Document services and outcomes in accordance with district and legal standards
- Split your time evenly across two days in the North and two days in the South areas, ensuring broad support for the student population
