This full-time position is designed to cover a 12-week maternity leave for the first part of the school year, with the possibility of an earlier start during the summer session. You'll work across multiple school sites, delivering compassionate and impactful therapy to a diverse caseload while collaborating closely with educators and families.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health Physical Therapy License (FL DOH PT)
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued
- Flexibility to serve students across more than one campus as needed
- Completion of Florida school district fingerprinting; prior prints in AHCA Clearinghouse may expedite the process
- Strong communication skills for teamwork with staff and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students, supporting their educational and functional development
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized PT interventions based on student needs and IEPs
- Consult with teachers and school personnel to adapt activities and environments, ensuring accessibility and inclusion
- Travel between assigned campuses in an itinerant role, adapting to varied school environments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school district policies and therapy best practices
