The position, beginning on August 10, 2026 and ending on October 30, 2026, covers the first 12 weeks of the new school year. There may be an option to start earlier during the extended summer school program.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist licensure required
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Familiarity with pediatric populations and delivering therapy within a school environment
- Ability to work across multiple campuses in an itinerant capacity
- Must complete fingerprinting for school district clearance (clearinghouse prints may be valid if currently on file)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, helping them reach IEP goals and maximize participation in their educational setting
- Partner with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure students receive coordinated support
- Conduct assessments and document progress, updating interventions as needed
- Travel between assigned school sites to provide services as an itinerant therapist
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expertise and advocating for student needs
