What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coats Homes - Superintendent - Frisco position at Big League Talent Connection?
Superintendent — Luxury Custom Homes | Frisco
Frisco, TX
About the Opportunity
There's a version of the superintendent job that's mostly logistics, and a version where the quality of the finished house genuinely depends on your judgment. This is the second one.
Our client is a luxury custom homebuilder founded in 2010, serving the Dallas–Frisco–Fort Worth and Austin markets. The firm builds architecturally significant residences alongside leading architects and designers, with craftsmanship, transparency, and client experience as the stated basis of how it operates.
You'd run the field on those homes and on the other unique projects the firm takes on, collaborating closely with the Director of Construction.
The Role
You're the person responsible for what actually gets built. That means executing the architectural plans faithfully, holding the schedule at both the long-range and week-to-week level, sequencing and driving the trades, and setting the quality bar on site.
It also means being visible and credible to a homeowner who is engaged in the process. The firm's client experience is built partly in the office and partly on the jobsite — your half is the jobsite.
What You'll Get to Accomplish
- Execute architecturally significant custom residences in the field, exactly as designed
- Build and hold the schedules — long-term and short-term — and keep the trades performing against them
- Schedule and oversee the subcontractors doing the most technically demanding work on the home
- Own jobsite quality control at the standard this level of construction demands
- Keep daily job logs and internal reporting accurate enough that the office and the client always know where the job stands
- Partner directly with the Director of Construction
What You'll Bring
- A minimum of 10 years in high-end luxury custom homebuilding
- A customer-service orientation and the presence to represent the firm on site
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Comfort working through ambiguity and shifting direction
- Strong self-motivation and detail orientation
- Effective written and verbal communication
