Hotel Housekeeping Room Attendant Maid Housekeeper

Best Western Plus Reading Inn & Suites is looking for part-time and full time DEPENDABLE employees.

Must be available to work Saturday, and Sunday..

Shift starts at 9am and runs anywhere from 5 to 8 hours.

Looking for Part Time & Full Time, Seasonal (April through November) with potential for permanent position.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities and Duties

• To clean hotel guestrooms daily and to ensure the high standard of cleanliness and quality of the Hotel
• Sign out for room keys, restock maids' cart with supplies needed to complete room assignments
• Clean and scrub bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, tiles, counter and floor surfaces with germicidal cleaner. Use sponges/brushes. Clean mirrors with glass cleaner. This task requires extending hand over head, bending and stooping
• Strip and make beds, change linens, lift bedspreads, which weigh a maximum of 35 lbs.
• Replenish amenities, towels, and supplies in guestrooms.
• Thoroughly dust/polish all furniture, wall hangings, drawers, window ledges, shelves, phones, lampshades, headboards, and HVAC vents.
• Empty trash and vacuum entire room
• Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion of room according to Best Western standards. Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner
• Communicate status of rooms to Front Desk & Supervisor throughout the day including completion of daily work
• Report damaged or missing items to Manager/Supervisor
• Report and turn in any items left behind by the guests
• Communicate any maintenance issues through maintenance work orders
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to push and or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arm over head to perform cleaning tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests as well as other employees
• Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including thorough cleaning of the minimum number of rooms as specified by management.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
