The Silk Screening Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screen-printing equipment to produce high-quality printed products that meet customer specifications. This position ensures proper ink application, color accuracy, and adherence to production and quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Shift: 5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as business needs arise
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate silk screening / screen-printing equipment according to job specifications
- Prepare screens, inks, and substrates for production runs
- Align screens and adjust machine settings for proper registration and print quality
- Inspect printed products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Mix inks to achieve correct color, viscosity, and consistency
- Clean and reclaim screens, squeegees, and flood bars after production
- Troubleshoot print defects and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality output
- Monitor production to ensure efficiency and minimize waste
- Follow work orders, production schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Responsible for custom paint color mixing, screen ordering/creating and part jig development and/or creation
- Assist in other areas of production as needed

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous 3 years silk screening/screen printing experience preferred (manual or automatic presses)
- Ability to read English and interpret work orders, specifications, and color charts
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and color recognition
