Production Supervisor

In a job-shop environment, our clients require us to deliver quality parts on time from all of our metal finishing operations. We are looking for a Production Supervisor. As a Production Supervisor at Medicote, you will focus on how the production floor operates, being directly responsible for overseeing and organizing the staff on the floor. You will oversee routine production activities as well as act as the first line of support for associates. We operate in a face-paced, job-shop environment specializing in surface finishing.

Responsibilities:

·   Provide production employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations.

·    Track hourly rates daily and report them to the Production Manager.

·    Report and jobs not making rate to the Production and Estimating Managers.

·    Promptly address performance issues.

·    Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results.

·    Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the responding floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.

·    Maintain well-organized and productive work areas.

·    Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives.

·    All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.

·         Computer literacy

·         Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.

·         Proven managerial experience with strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.

·         BS degree in Business Management, Engineering, or relevant field preferred but not required.

·         The ability to read and write in English.

·         The ability to work with a diverse culture to help ways to improve processes, quality, and safety.
