The Independent Living Services Instructor is responsible for providing direct training to individuals with disabilities to ensure they learn aspects of independent living and increase their independence in a supportive environment. This role involves working closely with the ILS Facilitator and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual service plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and provide Independent Living Services to individuals with disabilities based on their needs and ISP goals.
- Participate as an interdisciplinary team member to maintain positive relationships with individuals, family members, advocates, and Regional Center Case Managers.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
- Provide instruction on independent living skills using various teaching methods.
- Develop teaching plans on areas identified in the ISP, including money management, social skills, and health care.
