The finance team is currently led by a hands-on CFO, and the organization is at a key inflection point where operational accounting responsibilities are transitioning to a dedicated hire. This role offers the opportunity to build and standardize processes, gain exposure to leadership, and play a critical part in shaping the future of the accounting function.
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant serves as a transitional role responsible for absorbing day-to-day accounting execution from the CFO while ensuring continuity, accuracy, and stability of core accounting operations. This position owns the preparation and execution of the monthly close, reconciliations, and accounting processes, with a focus on documentation, standardization, and process improvement over time. Success in this role positions the individual to progress into the Accounting Manager role, ultimately assuming full ownership of accounting operations while enabling the CFO to focus on oversight and strategic initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Ownership with Month End Close
- Understanding of accrual base accounting & cost accounting
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Exposure to NetSuite is nice to have
- Manufacturing industry is nice to have
