What are the responsibilities and job description for the Editorial Analyst - $38-$42/hr - DC position at Beacon Hill?
Our client, a professional services company, is seeking an Editorial Analyst to join their team on a long-term temporary basis with potential to extend in Washington, D.C.
About The Job:
- Edit proposals and client deliverables, including research reports and proposals
- Copyedit for accuracy, consistency, clarity, and adherence to style across print, web, and multimedia formats
- Apply client‑specific style guides, including branding, usage, and formatting requirements
- Edit materials across a range of research topics, including health, social policy, and education
- Apply plain‑language principles and web‑writing best practices
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan, schedule, and complete editorial tasks for large projects
- Participate in project and client meetings as needed
About You:
- 7 years of copyediting and production editing experience
- Proven ability to assess editorial needs, prioritize work, and manage short‑ and long‑term projects
- Demonstrated ability to edit and format across various style manuals
- Experience editing proposals, reports, and presentations
- Comfortable collaborating with authors, editors, designers, and production teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Monday.com and Box is a plus
- Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and adaptable
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- Duration: 9 months with potential to extend
- $38-$42/hr
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
