A highly respected full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its growing Real Estate practice. This position focuses on sophisticated commercial leasing transactions while representing landlords, tenants, institutional owners, REITs, developers, investors, and property managers in a wide variety of commercial real estate matters.

Attorneys in this practice advise clients through every stage of commercial leasing and transactional work involving office buildings, industrial facilities, mixed-use developments, and retail properties. Duties

• Handle sophisticated commercial leasing transactions from initial negotiation through execution and closing.

• Represent both landlords and tenants in office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use leasing matters.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise commercial lease agreements and related transactional documents.

• Advise institutional owners, REITs, developers, investors, and property managers regarding leasing strategies.

• Coordinate all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions.

• Manage leasing matters with minimal supervision while maintaining exceptional client service.

• Negotiate amendments, assignments, renewals, terminations, and related leasing agreements.

• Conduct legal due diligence involving commercial real estate transactions.

• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups on multidisciplinary transactions.

• Develop practical legal solutions tailored to clients' business objectives.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive legal counsel.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of sophisticated commercial real estate experience.

• Extensive experience handling office leasing transactions.

• Experience representing landlords, tenants, institutional owners, REITs, or commercial property owners.

• Experience involving office, industrial, and retail real estate sectors.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transactional skills.

• Strong analytical, writing, and communication abilities.

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions.

• Active Illinois Bar admission.
