Job Overview
A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join its practice in Houston, Texas. Duties
- Maintain and supervise a diverse caseload of clients in Texas.
- Communicate with clients regarding their legal matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and agreements.
- Engage with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
- Conduct legal research on contract law and consumer law issues.
- Travel for in-court appearances as required.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice law in Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
- Superior organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in legal research; LexisNexis experience is a plus.
