Crim & Villalpando, P.C., a Houston-based personal injury law firm, is seeking a Spanish-speaking Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. Newly licensed attorneys and attorneys early in their careers are encouraged to apply.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to learn litigation by actually doing it. You’ll work alongside experienced attorneys and receive guidance while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience handling personal injury cases from the filing of a lawsuit through settlement or trial.
Responsibilities
As you develop in the role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage personal injury litigation matters with support and guidance from experienced attorneys
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Participate in and ultimately conduct and defend depositions
- Prepare for and attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Assist with case strategy and evaluation of liability and damages
- Participate in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
- Prepare cases for trial and gain hands-on trial experience
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding their cases
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- Spanish proficiency required
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and accept feedback
- Litigation or personal injury experience is a plus, but not required
- Deposition, discovery, mediation, or courtroom experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
