What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Speaking Personal Injury Litigation Attorney position at The Calderon Law Firm?
We are seeking a motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to join our growing personal injury practice. This is an in-person position for an attorney who wants meaningful litigation experience, hands-on mentorship, and the opportunity to develop into a confident and highly skilled trial lawyer.
You will work directly under our Head of Litigation and play an active role in cases throughout the litigation process. We are looking for someone who is ready to take ownership of their work, continue developing their skills, and grow with our firm.
Experience: 0-2 years including those awaiting bar results
Personal injury experience is preferred, and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
As an Associate Litigation Attorney, you will gain hands-on experience across all stages of litigation, including:
- Drafting and responding to written discovery
- Drafting and arguing motions
- Preparing for and attending court hearings
- Taking and defending depositions
- Conducting legal research and preparing litigation strategy
- Working directly with the Head of Litigation on case preparation
- Assisting with mediation and settlement negotiations
- Preparing cases for trial
- Serving as second chair at trial
- Managing deadlines and ensuring cases continue moving efficiently through litigation
- Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas or awaiting bar results
- Personal injury experience preferred
- Litigation experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Strong desire to develop litigation and trial skills
