Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Prosecution Associate in Washington, DC to support patent prosecution, due diligence, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) work. The ideal candidate will have a background in organic chemistry or small molecules.

Duties

• Supervise technical specialists on a day-to-day basis.
• Engage in patent prosecution, due diligence, and FTO matters.
• Manage large client portfolios globally.
• Support client meetings and counseling sessions.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a patent agent or technical specialist is advantageous.
• Licensed to practice before the USPTO and in a relevant state.

Education

• Science background in organic chemistry/small molecules required.
• Advanced degree strongly preferred.

Certifications

• USPTO registration required.

Skills

• Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
• Ability to manage large client portfolios.
