Duties

• Represent clients in divorce, adoption, child custody, and other family law matters.

• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients during litigation.

• Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to develop effective case strategies.

• Analyze legal issues and develop practical solutions based on client objectives.

• Draft pleadings, agreements, motions, court orders, and related legal documents.

• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and legal staff.

• Prepare for hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings.

• Meet an annual expectation of 1,600 billable hours.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of legal and trial experience in family law.

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

• Knowledge of North Carolina family court rules and procedures.
