Gantt Family Law is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and driven Associate Attorney who is passionate about practicing family law and making a meaningful impact in clients’ lives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed attorney who has passed the Bar and gained experience through family law clinics, internships, or prior family law practice, and who is committed to building a long-term career in family law.
About the RoleThe Associate Attorney will manage family law matters from start to resolution while working closely with senior attorneys and support staff. This role offers hands-on courtroom experience, mentorship, and clear opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, legitimation, modifications, and contempt actions
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Communicate directly with clients and serve as a strategic advisor
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to move cases forward efficiently
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely billing
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar
- Experience in family law clinics, internships, or prior family law experience preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- A genuine desire to practice family law long-term
