Overview

Bachner Electro USA is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our growing team and provide field leadership for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.

As an Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, coordinating electrical crews and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, the NEC, and applicable codes. This position serves as a key link between field personnel, Project Management, clients, and other trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily field leadership and supervision for electrical construction projects from mobilization through project completion.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical crews, subcontractors, equipment, tools, and materials to meet project schedules.
• Assign work to field personnel and monitor productivity, workmanship, and progress.
• Coordinate daily and weekly work activities with Project Managers and other project leadership.
• Read, interpret, and enforce project drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation requirements.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), project specifications, applicable local codes, and company standards.
• Coordinate electrical activities with general contractors, owners, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Identify potential schedule conflicts, material shortages, design issues, and field conditions and communicate them promptly to Project Management.
• Assist with short-term scheduling, manpower planning, material planning, and project look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor project progress and help ensure established milestones and completion dates are achieved.
• Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, manpower information, progress updates, material needs, and project issues.
• Review drawings and field conditions to identify potential changes in scope and communicate potential change-order work to the Project Manager before proceeding when required.
• Participate in project meetings, coordination meetings, inspections, and jobsite walkthroughs.
• Oversee installation, testing, troubleshooting, and completion of electrical systems.
• Coordinate inspections and assist with punch-list completion, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Maintain an organized, professional, and productive jobsite.
• Enforce Bachner Electro USA safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Conduct or participate in toolbox talks, pre-task planning, safety meetings, and job hazard assessments.
• Ensure employees and subcontractors utilize required PPE and follow safe work practices.
• Lead by example and promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and teamwork.
• Mentor Foremen, Journeymen, Apprentices, and other field personnel and assist with employee development.
• Perform additional duties as required to support successful project execution.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience, with previous experience in a Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar field leadership position strongly preferred.
• Industrial and/or large commercial electrical construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical construction methods.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred but not required, depending on project and jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience supervising electrical crews and coordinating multiple work activities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of conduit systems, feeders, branch circuits, electrical distribution, equipment installation, grounding, and related electrical systems.
• Experience with manpower planning, scheduling, material coordination, and productivity management.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees, Project Managers, customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential project risks before they impact schedule or cost.
• Must adhere to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical apprenticeship or additional technical education preferred.
• Must be available to work flexible hours based on project requirements, including overtime, occasional weekends, holidays, and overnight travel when necessary.
• Must successfully pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
• Ability to wear required PPE and comply with all project-specific safety requirements.
