We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and lead the design and development of innovative electromechanical systems and manufacturing solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in machinery design, tooling development, and SolidWorks in a PDM-controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems for production and manufacturing applications
- Create detailed designs for tooling, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures
- Develop, validate, and improve machinery and mechanical systems related to energy transmission, controls, hydraulics, plastics, robotics, and manufacturing equipment
- Perform concept development, prototyping, verification, and validation activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to support product development and manufacturing transfer
- Recommend technology and process improvements focused on safety, performance, efficiency, and cost reduction
- Lead or support engineering projects from concept through implementation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
- Work independently with limited supervision while driving projects to completion
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical design engineering experience
- Strong experience in:
- Electromechanical machinery design
- Tooling, dies, molds, jigs, and fixture design
- SolidWorks CAD design environment
- PDM (Product Data Management) systems
- Experience supporting products from development through manufacturing implementation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Experience
- Background in manufacturing or production engineering environments
- Experience with process improvement and design optimization
- Ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate with senior stakeholders
