Senior Recruiter - Boston
The Senior Recruitment Consultant will lead search assignments for mid- to senior-level roles across finance and operational disciplines. Operating as a trusted advisor to clients and candidates, the consultant will manage the full recruitment lifecycle while contributing to the growth and development of the firm’s US business. This position requires a proactive, relationship-driven individual with a strong understanding of the start-up and scale-up ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Client Partnership & Business Development
- Develop strong relationships with founders, executives, and hiring leaders to understand strategic hiring needs.
- Lead retained and contingent searches across finance, HR, operations, and leadership roles.
- Provide market insight, compensation benchmarking, and consultative hiring advice tailored to high-growth environments.
Full-Lifecycle Recruitment
- Manage all stages of the recruitment process including sourcing, headhunting, screening, interviewing, shortlisting, offer management, and onboarding support.
- Build and nurture a high-quality pipeline of candidates within the Boston and wider US market.
- Maintain a consistent, high-touch candidate experience, ensuring informed and timely communication.
Market & Network Development
- Expand the firm’s presence within the start-up ecosystem through networking, events, and relationship-building.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, sector dynamics, and talent movements.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Share insights, best practices, and market intelligence with colleagues across the business.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement, thought leadership, and the scaling of US operations.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Proven experience in senior-level recruitment, executive search, or contingency recruitment.
- Strong understanding of the Boston start-up and scale-up landscape.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated success managing complex searches and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Ambitious, commercially minded, and able to operate both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred
- Experience partnering with VC-backed or PE-backed companies.
- Specialism in finance, operations, HR, or leadership hiring.
- A track record of developing and growing a portfolio or book of business.
