Principal Recruiter - Tech / Finance
Location: New York (with frequent travel and hybrid/office-based expectations)
Reporting to: Head of USA Growth / Regional Director
About the Role
The Executive Search Consultant will play a pivotal role in expanding the Financial Systems recruitment practice across North America. This person will be an experienced individual contributor with a proven track record in high performance recruitment, particularly in ERP/EPM/Analytics or closely aligned sectors. Their mandate will be to deliver both revenue and quality through excellent client relationships, consistent billings, and leadership by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Revenue Growth
Source, pitch, and win new mandates across Finance Systems (ERP, EPM, Analytics), SaaS, Cybersecurity, Renewables/Sustainability sectors. Foster relationships with senior stakeholders and expand existing accounts.
- Delivery & Execution
Manage full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, interviewing, placing candidates, and ensuring client satisfaction. Maintain strong ‘360’ involvement — balancing sales and delivery.
- Performance & Targets
Meet or exceed billing targets appropriate to a senior role (multi-hundred thousand USD annually) within set time frames. Drive efficiency, ensure deal cycles are optimised (typical cycles of 4-5 weeks).
- Team Mentorship & Culture Building
Help raise performance standards within the team. Mentor more junior consultants, share best practices, contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, authenticity, and humility.
- Strategic Contribution
Assist in shaping growth strategy: help scale operations, improve processes, possibly contribute to expanding into new geographies or sectors.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience Level: ~5-7 years in recruitment, with strong credentials in Financial Systems / ERP / EPM / data/analytics recruitment (or related sectors).
- Track Record: Demonstrated high yield billing; ability to show revenue achievements (e.g. >US$150-200k in a 12-month period, or equivalent performance in prior roles).
