Job Description
Join our team as a Merchandise Senior Staff Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, resolving inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. You will play a key role in the financial closing processes and collaborate with various departments to improve and streamline operations.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with wholesale vendors regarding invoice inquiries, payment status, and payment discrepancies.
- Research and resolve vendor and store operator inquiries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising and Logistics, to resolve issues and streamline processes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as needed.
- Proficiency in general ledger, journal entry, reconciliation, acquisitions, and data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Understanding of accounting procedures, concepts, and internal control processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
