Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting functions across multiple regions. This role requires a strong understanding of U.S. accounting standards, financial reporting, and operational finance within a dynamic, creative environment. The Accounting Manager will lead a team ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements to support out global growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the U.S. accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and intracompany transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, accounting standards.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Implement and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal requirements across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, commercial, IT, and operations support business initiatives.
- Manage and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements affecting the industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a globe organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Experience in the retail industry a plus.
- Proven ability to lead an develop diverse teams across multiple regions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting software. NetSuite preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $100,000 - $115,000 annually. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
