Practice Manager
A leading community-based healthcare organization in the Bronx is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee operations at its largest and most dynamic clinical site. This full-time, onsite role offers an opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering accessible, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients of all ages. This high-volume location provides a range of services including pediatrics, primary care, neurology, and infectious disease. The site’s team includes registered nurses, physical therapists, medical office assistants, patient service representatives, and board-certified physicians. The Practice Manager plays a key role in coordinating these teams and ensuring operational excellence across the practice!
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Bronx practice (70 staff members).
- Supervise medical and administrative staff, including medical office assistants, RNs, and patient service representatives.
- Ensure proper staffing coverage, manage sick calls, and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Partner with licensed providers—including physicians, dentists, and social workers—to ensure smooth patient flow and clinical efficiency.
- Manage timekeeping, scheduling, and labor verification processes for all staff.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations in collaboration with department leads.
- Monitor patient volume, provider schedules, and no-show rates to optimize patient access and resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with the organization’s mission.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience managing a medical practice or healthcare department (e.g., outpatient clinic, diagnostic center, physician’s office).
- Minimum 2 years of recent management experience in a clinical setting.
- Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s preferred).
- RN licensure HIGHLY preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
